What makes the Conjugate sequence system so successful is variation…not only in regards to exercise selection but rest cycles as well. As you become fitter or your general physical preparedness goes up your rest cycles should become shorter. Your ability to get more work done within an hour should increase. In order for you to become stronger, you should be able to handle more volume in your training. Many athletes and coaches lose sight of this and wonder why their progress stalls or goes backward. Listen to your body for adequate rest cycles as you advance through your training. Remember your programs are just guides.
